The Portland Tribune was looking for a self-automated web site that would essentially publish itself. We enabled stories to be fed from their proprietary database and published to their web site.
We created an interface for their web editor to select stories to run on the web site and import photographs, this also enabled them to preview the new web issue on the staging server. With this service they are now able to make any necessary on-line edits and last minute fixes. With a single click the new issue is published while the old issue is entered into the archive and indexed for searching.
The web site and interface we developed has proven to be invaluable in their day to day operations, affording them a greater presence in a fast moving, highly competitive media market.
